[ McCoy has been inside for the entire day and busying himself by subjecting Cupcake to various readings with his tricorder and attempting to re-adjust the equipment as he relaxes on the couch. He isn't too traumatized after last week's events to leave the house or anything; he's just not a fan of the dipping temperature. ]

[Eventually, Buffy comes to join him in the lounge. This is definitely one of those fuzzy slipper moments. She is balancing her honeyed teacoffee in her palms and decides to snuggle down on a chair opposite the couch.]

Is Cupcake sick?

[ He raises an eyebrow at the fuzzy slippers as his attention is drawn away from the tricorder, but says nothing. McCoy certainly isn't stupid enough to incur the wrath of a house full of females. ]

Nah. Just checking to see this thing is still working, is all.

More like I was trying to maximise its efficiently, but you know how technology and me get along. [ Just remember all those broken appliances. ]

[A guess:] You were talking to Paprika?

Is that her name? Well yeah, it was the one who had a riddle about primitive clipboards and blank pieces of paper.

Yeah, that's her. [She frowns about the clip-board, remembering her little mini mission concerning it.] Totally freaky.

[hippocraticly]

Freaky? [ This face says you battle the undead for a living, Summers. ]

She did this whole...mind thing. It was way unsettling.

... She's not a Vulcan, is she? [ Trying to remember what her ears looked like in the camera. ]

I'm pretty sure that's a no, considering how very not stoic she was.

[hippocraticly]

You never know. [ A shrug before looking back at his tricorder and scanning the snoozing kitten again. ] Either way, I'm glad there's someone here to play the part of good old psychiatrist; I'm guessing she'll be tied up for the next week or so.
