[Jacketed and scarfed, Buffy is hard at work on the lawn of House Seven. She has in her hands a most fierce and gruesome weapon--long and pronged, wickedly effective for roping in and dealing with rogue...leaves. Yes, today Buffy is devoting her time to raking the leaves on the lawn (a task she takes even into the early but dark evening). And while ( Read more... )

I'll bet Walter left one around. [There's briefly a hint of "grumpy", possibly even a little "sulky", in her tone for the first sentence, but that goes away as she continues.] I don't know about better, though.... How do you even make a better rake?

Maybe one with wider prongs. Or closer prongs. Or maybe even less prongs? I...I gotta admit, I'm not exactly a yardwork expert. But anything's gotta be better than this thing.

Maybe? You're probably just being impatient. Getting rid of leaves is a long and boring job no matter how you do it.

Not if you've got a leafblower. But I haven't found one of those yet.

They're not that hard, honestly. It's just that no one really likes them. Well, most people don't, anyway.

And you know someone who does?

Some people like cooking and some people like gardening. And I've known a few people who seemed obsessed with keeping their house clean. ...I can't say I've ever met a fan of laundry, but there might be someone out there. [She shrugs.] I don't think anyone likes raking leaves very much, though.

I'd happily take ten loads of laundry over this.

...Yeah, so would I. But I guess I'll have to do it now.

I guess you could try and convince someone else to do it for you?
