Hm...are you the only Buffy in Luceti? I just want to make sure.

I'm pretty sure there's a Luffy kicking around--but as for Buffy? I'm the one and only. I hope.

Lets hope I don't confuse you two then. I just wanted to make sure I was talking to the same Buffy the sort-of librarian mentioned.

Did this sort-of librarian happen to be named Giles?

Who knows? I might have confused it for Miles.

[she laughs a little.] Yes, it was. He mentioned you a few times, so I've been wanting to talk to the lady he fawns over so much.

Are you sure you're not confusing fawning with griping? Now, he's British--so I know it can be hard to tell the difference sometimes.

No, I'm fairly sure I got it right. The meanings of those words are too different to get confused. Why- is it strange for him to be that way?

No, just...he has a long history of putting up with me, that's all.

[She hums thoughtfully. Yes, she does know about that vaguely. But it isn't something she should discuss.]

Those who put up with others the most are normally reliable and trustworthy. They don't want to quit and leave that person in the dust, so they push them. Like a worried parent, pushing their child to do better. [......] But Giles isn't your father, is he? [she makes another light hearted laugh]

N-no, not my father. [Just almost like a father. Fatherish. Father figure.]

Figured that much. He doesn't have that 'fatherly aura'. My name is Paprika by the way- sorry for not introducing myself right away.

[She blinks and begins to murmur to herself. However, she makes no effort to quiet her voice enough for the camera not to pick it up.]

Am I really doomed to such a fate? It's not like I picked my name.

[And then she immediately looks back with a rather bright coy smile.]

Yes, that's correct. I am the spice of everyone's life, bringing a little extra flavor and joy.

N-no, sorry. I get it. Unusual names can be a total burden.

No, no, it's okay. I don't really understand why I received this name, but I've grown into it really. Nothing I can do to change it. I have more important things to dwell over. Luceti is a lot different than home.
