Memory loss? So not my cup of joe. Chalk another one up for the Malnosso having some kind of uberpowers. The more I witness, the less I like.

[An audible sigh. There's the sound of a mug coming back to rest upon a table-top.] Guess it's time to make it official. If anyone's curious, I'm no longer living back at forty-seven. If you want to find me ( Read more... )

The mass memory loss is perhaps the most troubling aspect of that situation. Even if other memories aren't altered in the process, being able to remove entire days of memory... Hn.

It does. But it generally takes some serious concentration, and from what I've see? Can easily go wrong. One time a memory charm back-fired, it wiped the memories of a whole group of people. Everything about themselves--names, jobs, homes, friends? Gone.

That was just one misfiring witch. I kinda don't want to think about what could happen if one of our captor scientists accidentally puts a little too much rum in the punch--if you follow me. The intentional wackiness is bad enough, but what if they screw up? Things could get pretty unfun, pretty fast.
