[033 - action]

[After a highly successful move into her new base of operations, house number seven, Buffy is picking up the patrol slack. After all, a winter wonderland does not mean that evil takes a day off. Quite the opposite, she imagined. A snowy landscape was like a cruel place to her and she could believe that evil liked that kind of thing. Well, evil plus ( Read more... )

[Like say the long-awaited meeting of her and a certain Math Monster? Because he's kinda just... chilling. Chilling on the roof of All Passions, that is]

[What is it with people and rooftops, goddamnit. Buffy frowns rather miserably up at store's top.]

You know, most of the time? When I go out looking for mischief, I don't expect to find it so inconveniently placed.

[Protip: Minamimoto gets a boner off of heights. Well not really, but the guy does love him some heights]

Inconvenient? [Shrug-] It's true that genius prefer locations with superior height.

Here's a little equation for you, Math Boy. Mischief? So does not equal genius. Usually actually the opposite, in my rather expert opinion on mischief.

[Arms crossed, and staring. Buffy's considering going up after him because this whole height difference? Not helping her ego. Buffy's short enough without a building between them.]

[Well it helps that Minamimoto isn't that tall - only like 5'7, 5'8 tops - but still, he does like his little throne here so he smirks-]

Hnn. Invalid equation: arts and crafts time ≠ mischief, Games ≠ mischief. I'm a cut above [And he says this as he waves a hand - does he meant the physical height?] a radian like you.

Not for long. [Her response is practically a growl as she fixes a grip onto the side of the building and begins a fairly swift ascent, hindered only by those cutesy mittens.]

[YEAH WELL guess what?

He's going to...!

Shove some snow off the roof towards where she's climbing there]

[Eugh. Buffy, looking up, has seen the snow coming but not with enough time to adjust her ascent. The only solution was far from the ideal one and she clings harder to the building's side as the lump of snow crashes onto her head.

Damnit, that is cold. And uncomfortable. And really not how she wanted to start this stand-off. More slowly, she continues her climb with melting patches of snow over her head and arms.]

[Well then, Minamimoto here, standing and waiting here on the roof, is just going to have to settle for looking down at her climbing up. Well, that and knowing that when he puts her hand up on the roof itself he intends to stomp on it, but that's another thing entirely.]

[Shame the Slayer's not a mind reader. Instead, she's just gonna keep climbing until she finally pops that first hand over the edge, and the second's coming up fast after it.]

[Aaaaaaaaaand FOOT STOMP on that first hand-]

Zetta slow!

[There's a yelp of pain, muffled by her knit scarf. The toes of her boots skid on the exterior of the building but Buffy just manages to grab the corner with her other hand. Her mitten slips and grapples with the grip.

Her stomped hand dangles at her side, its mitten sliding off and exposing her skin to the elements.]

[And he is looking down there over the roof, bending a bit, smirking...] Well this is an interesting angle.

[Time to recover some face. Buffy slaps the wounded hand back up next to the other, fixing her grip. She kicks off of the wall. Once, twice, then on the third she tightens her hold and instead of dragging herself upwards, the Slayer back-flips herself onto the space next to Math Boy and drops into her customary stance.]

[Good, then I hope you'll enjoy this next movement. He scoffs a bit there when she gets up and then... Dissolves into a flash of gray-static-like-stuff. You know like when a TV fuzzes out. Like that. And then he appears behind her. He just teleport on her ass]

[So not having fun. There is so much not-fun being had here. Buffy's head twists wildly as she tries to figure out where he's gone. It takes her a few seconds to remember this trick and whirl on her heels.]

You are so not my favourite person. Have I ever told you that?
