Will The Map of the Moments be a direct sequel to Mind the Gap, or are they stand-alone stories set in the same world?

Excellent, that means I can read it now instead of waiting. My memory isn't that great at remembering plot details a year later when a sequel comes out. (Which might be demonstrated by me asking you this, because your/Christopher's answer sounds very familiar and I think I might have asked this before. :D)

My copy arrived from Amazon today - Christopher is one of the few authors I buy, most everyone else comes from the library.
