I really enjoyed the way that you told this story - mostly through Faith's voice messages. So much was said, even though we only heard one character's POV in for each situation. I look forward to the follow-up story and learning what all these demons are.

I also have to admit to taking a perverse pleasure in the gang of vamps snacking on people leaving Fenway Park. I lived 4 blocks from there for 3 years and was woken up way too many times by drunken sports fans shouting "Yankees Suck" at 3am. No matter who the Red Sox were playing, it was always "Yankees Suck".

Thank you! Originally the Giles segment of this was much shorter, leaving more to be told through Faith's messages, but it became clear that just as she was becoming isolated there needed to be a reaction to that.

Excellent Faith voice and characterization!!

I like how you structured the story with the messages and Gile's reaction to them.

The little things like "yellow eyes" "black smoke" and the stake resistant vampires make me quite giddy-if I'm thinking about it in the context of your upcoming crossover!

Thanks! originally Giles's reactions were much reduced, in fact in the original draft there was no introduction to the messages and there was simply a brief coda with Giles. It needed the reaction I think though, and the great thing about it is that the next part in the series will be almost a mirror to this with different characters which I think you of all people might be able to guess... I'm thinking late night phone calls from random places to an answer machine in California...
