aw fuckies.
it's been a crazy weekend.
parts of it have made me ridiculously happy, parts have made me mildly angry, and parts have made me cry.
it was almost like being at a rally, except that we moved around a lot.
a nomadic rally.
but now i'm at delia's, which is good. i need to unwind a little before i head home.
though i am excited to see aly again.
i drove down on friday morning. i went through plano and had lunch and spent time with aly, which was wonderful. then i went to ft worth and crashed at jc's for a couple of hours until delia got there, and then the three of us headed to the woodlands. on the way we got stuck on this ridiculous access road that didn't actually reach the highway. the speed limit was sixty, but we couldn't go more than thirty without tearing the car up cause of all the potholes in the road. i'm pretty sure that's the road that insane texas families use to trap unsuspecting drivers and lure them off the road to be cannibalized. but that's just my opinion.
we got to the wileys' house around two saturday morning, and stayed up talking with kenny and murriel until six. got some sleep and woke up at noon. we hung out with kenny, jack, jc, and bryce for a little while, then murriel and delia and i went to togo's to meet ian, jo, and amy. it was really cool seeing jo and amy again, and i had a lot of fun at lunch with them.
delia, ian, muh, and i went shopping and then came home for dinner with eeeeeveryone...it seemed like everyone, anyway. once the boys went to katy it was nice to have quiet for a while.
sunday afternoon delia and i went to downtown houston and met up with val. i loved seeing her, even though we did have to cut our visit short in order to show up fashionably late to the party in katy.
which was really really fun. at first when we showed up it was weird because there were so many people i didn't recognize, i guess some of them were new yruu-ers and some were just from around. but after elissa turned around, saw me, and screamed...the party generally got better. i took a bunch of pictures, and i don't exactly remember what i took pictures of, so it will be fun once i get those developed.
the affirmation circle/worship was really nice. i didn't say a whole lot, but it wasn't because there wasn't anything to say. it was because a lot of it was being said before i had the chance to, and that makes me happy because it means that the good qualities of all those wonderful people are not going unnoticed. and i was surprised at some of the things said to me.
on monday we woke up to advisors making us pancakes. so...it basically was a rally. after closing circle (hah!) a bunch of us went to togo's for lunch, and then headed back to the woodlands. i took what was supposed to be a short nap, and ended up waking up at nine pm. oops. so we stayed the night at lucas's and left around nine this morning, instead of driving all night.
and now here we are. i'm leaving delia's probably around noon tomorrow, because i want to visit group camp three before it gets too dark.
what stinks is that i think my parents gave me whatever cold they had last week.
