What's that word?

It'll keep me awake at night if I can't remember! The word means, literally, "like ploughing a field", and it's used to describe writing that goes from left to right on one line and from right to left on the next. Urgh, I wrote it down in the front of a notebook in a list of Neat Words, but I don't know which notebook it was.

To read something written like that, you'd have to be able to read any word forwards and backwards equally easily, unless it was only used in writing systems which had one symbol for a whole word.
