Congratulations to tempertemper, sweet_lyri, new entrant muirthemne on your wins this round! Your banners, including Banner Maker's Choice for teragramm, after the cut:
Banners and original background photo by your's truly, 2015. Art Nouveau Caps font from dafont.com; frame by riccus on deviantart.com. Choosing BMC was almost as hard as voting in the original competiton was; there were so many wonderful entries that got overlooked; but in the end I chose my original #1 vote-getter by teragramm. I love the diagonal composition, the slightly off-center crop, the subtle colors and textures that make this look like a vintage faded photograph or magazine illustration. She's muted two of the qualities I know her for: the "teragramm blue" color and the brushstroke texture, so I honestly didn't know who made that icon, only that it was incredibly pretty.
If I could have a runner-up BMC it would be for sweet_lyri's Faith icon, which is stylistically the opposite of teragramm's in it's gritty darkness, but shares a similar diagonal composition and close attention to unconventional cropping.
This was one particular round where I truly didn't know who made any of the icons, btw, so I really got to enjoy the fun of the "reveal" in full. I was really impressed as I often am by the consistency of the field not only in quality but how great they looked together, and how certain colors predominated. This time it was cream/ecru, orange, green and faded blue-grey, with touches of deep pink.
Congratuations again to all the winners, and THANK YOU very much for my own awards this round! (This was my first Best Color award.)
