discussion post!
Firstly, kindly pardon or inform me of any breaches in community posting etiquette. I reviewed the rules but was rather unclear on whether the subject heading should be "discussion post" or what. So I decided to play it safe and use that rather than upset the reigning community gods. ^_-
Oh. And apologies also if this has been discussed previously. I'm reasonably new here. ^_^
So. The actual topic. Something that's been plaguing me for awhile. When watching Try (...which I actually haven't done for some time. I'm not entirely sure why this is currently on my mind), did anyone else notice occasional moments when Zelgadis was really, *unusually* nice to or concerned with Filia? Could there be more to that than just coincidence?
I can't recall specific incidents right now, but did anyone else catch this? I just remember a few moments when he was unduly concerned with her welfare. Now, this could just be coincidental--times when SOMEONE had to make sure she was still alive and all the other characters happened to be involved in more important affairs, such as finding food or squabbling. Or squabbling over finding food. It just occurred to me that Zelgadis having a slight crush on Filia wouldn't be totally out of character. She does frequently come across as being a fairly typical shrine maiden, and because of the precedent with Miwan, we get the idea that he's into that. It always occurred to me that IF there was any attraction to Amelia on Zelgadis's part, it would be because of this factor. But that's sort of a digression.
ZelxFilia. How would that work? Okay, so basically I'm just curious if anyone else noticed this/thought anything of it. I might be reading too much into it, but I feel like it bears being brought up.
*pause* And also, if we agree that Zel's into clerics, just what DOES that say about Zel/Xel? *grin*
