I have nothing to say regarding the year in general, so favorite video games:
1. The Last of Us - Loses some momentum once fall hits, but still one of my favorite games ever. Nothing else this year came close.
2. DmC: Devil May Cry - DMC with more inventive (if sometimes less effective) gameplay and set pieces, better writing, and even more anti-authority than before. Sold.
3. Uncharted: Among Thieves - Not released this year obviously, but this is when I played it, and it was a steal at the price I got it at. Gameplay could've used some fine-tuning (manual crouching), but lots of fun otherwise, and I love any game that uses history as a back drop for its plot.
Honorable mention: Legend of Zelda: Link Between Worlds
