Well, obviously things have been crazy for me these last couple days, but I figured I’d post my Fall TV schedule anyway. Anything to distract me for a bit.

There were only a couple bullies and they eventually fell in line. Actually, I was amazed when every single kid was cheering on the 8 year old who wanted to leave because he missd his parents; everyone telling him how cool he was and how they all wanted him to stay. Also, later on, a group of kids made biscuits with no recipe, so they aren't all a bunch of idiots. Oh well. I'm resigned to the fact that I won't be changing anyone's mind. I'm just sad that you aren't watching even though you initially wanted to.

As for 30 Rock, based on people's recommendations, I've tried to watch that stupid show on 3 separate occasions and every time, I'm horribly disappointed and can't go on. The characters are self aware and over the top, the humor is faux intellectual, and there are many groan-filled moments. It feels like Tina Fey is thinking of all these silly things to put in the episodes, but can never seem to take those ideas and create complex, cohesive episodes to contain them. I think of a show like Arrested Development which had similar insanity but managed to ramp it up by binding it together into cohesive stories and build-ups that added complexity and depth to the show and made those jokes that much funnier. I guess 30 Rock just isn't for me. It's too bad. I tape the damned thing every week rather than stop and restart my VCR.
