So I have offically began working at Walmart. I had orientation yesterday and my first shift was today. It's defiantly interesting working at Walmart. I do have more respect for the workers. It's not as easy as it looks. I had the joy of anserwing the phones today while in the fitting room. It defiantly was a challenge haha. Most of all I love working the long shifts. My shifts are at least 7 hours long. Walmart actually has it perks. 10 percent discount, medical & dental after 90 days, Bonus every 3 months average $300 +. I don't make the greatest pay but after 90 days I should get a raise. Even though its Walmart, there are actual career oppurtnuitys. Their is corporate and even tons of jos within the stores. During training I looked at some of the people on the walls. One of the positions was Marketing director. I would actually love to work towards that position. It's directly related to my career and I know it would pay amazing. It's just one of those jobs I would have to start at the bottom to get too.
On another note I have an interview at FedEx tuesday. It's a different position at FedEx. Pays a little less but I am ten times more qualified for the job. Also I applied for another job today. I was contacted after a potential employer looked at my resume for an Administrative Assisant position. Which is also directly related to my major.
I am hopeful to get a career job but if not I am satisfied working at Walmart for now.
I have decided that I am giving London one last shot. Now that I have a new better paying job, plus my previous job I have a better outlook on qualifying for a loan. So after my big pay check I am applying for a new loan. If I get the loan I am going to still go to London. If I get denied its not my time to go London. Either way I have a plan. I am saving as much money as I can. If I don't move to London right away I will be making the necessary preparations to move away. As of right now I have $129. I haven't been able to save alot because I wasn't making enough money. But now that I have the new job I plan on saving at least every $50 every two weeks. I realize every cent helps. I have gone as far as to save every penny, nickle, dime and quarter I earn. You would be suprised how much money you can save by just saving change. Today was a very good day today. My hope was been returned. And hope is always plays a big part in who I am. My new plan is to leave by Feburary 1st. By then I will have enough money saved up to go where my heart disires and not have to worry about funding my explorations of the world.
