The battlefield has been cleared of all obstacles. The contestants are lined up on the start line, primed and prepared and ready to go.

The air is tense as the punters place their final bets.

"Satan Squeakins."

Lilly's wrapped up in a fuzzy blanket, a box of tissues not far away.

"Bondage Squeakins."

The duck is wearing a fedora and there is a tiny whip coiled at its side.

"And Indy has Scaly Squeakins," Mel announces with finality.

"Gentleman. Start your ducks."

"I'm a lady," Lilly protests, sniffling. The sniffles are because of the cold, but she's not above using them to dramatic effect.

She leans over and carefully squeezes her chosen duck before reaching over to squeeze Indy's. She misses him, but that doesn't mean his duck gets a head start.
