Alright, I'm trying to find/figure out a Costume that would be a Classic Pulp style Superhero..More in the vein of the Rocketter, or an Aviator, than say..the Shadow. This is for my Mage Character His name is Dr. Midnight and he's a Pulp style "superhero". I need ideas, potentially drawings, and if anyone knows where to get stuff cheap to make this

A notch less dark might be Dr. Hans Zarkov from Flash Gordon:
(although in many ways I'm lying, Dr. Zarkov was probably more grim in attitude than The Spirit)
