Tim and I went up to Chicago to see the Amanda Palmer show. It started snowing when we got in the city. We called up Tim's friend Rick and we all escaped the snow in a quaint little place called The Pick Me Up Cafe. The food was yummy. Rick dropped us off at the show. The opening act was a band called The Builders and the Butchers. They were great. They all looked like they were having a blast. They had a big bear daddy in the group and I kept trying to get a decent camera photo for Roger :-p This wonderful Cello player named Zoe Keating got to play a few songs too. She is so amazingly talented. She accompanied Amanda on some of her songs. The icing to the already perfect cake was when NEIL GAIMAN came out and introduced Amanda. I almost wet myself. I got me a WKAP hoodie and some buttons to take home. Timmy got me a poster for the album and we got to meet Amanda so she could sign it. I didn't know what do say to her I only had a few seconds. I ended up just smiling sheepishly at her and Tim said that the show was amazing. She leaned foward close to us and quietly said "Thank you" Then she smiled and we were ushered out of the way for the next person.
This video got Amanda's label (Roadrunner) in a huff. They told her she was too fat in the video. They asked her to digitally alter herself or cut some seens out because you could see her belly.
