So, a week or so ago Cindy and Eth got into an argument. Eth had given her a credit card to use in cases of emergency but she doesnt seem to understand the meaning of that word. In a single month, she had bought tons of new clothes and concert tickets. Cindy felt that the right way to excuse her action was by bringing me into it. She pointed out that I dont have a job still (not that she has ever had one) and that I spent over $700 at Sams Club earlier in the week.
Now I usually stay out of these matters because its Eth's business but I couldnt help saying something. I told her that the money spent at Sam's had been my own money and it had been spent to buy food for everyone, including her. I never use Eth's money unless I have express permission beforehand.
Her response was 'fuck you' to which I didnt respond and left so Eth could handle it. Anyway, it was surprising to everyone, including myself, that I jumped into the fray. I apologized to Eth later.

I had another strange thing happen, it also upset me and made me snap a bit. I received a PM in which a person asked me about Mark, said he had been a friend of his on LJ and was worried that he might be ill since he hasnt posted in so long. I answered with appreciation for his concern. I let him know that Mark is doing well but has focused his attention on other things. I assured him that I would pass his concern on and did a little bragging about what an awesome man Mark is.
The reply I received was shocking. He said that Mark had joined some community over a year ago (that wasnt the shocking part) and that he had just disappeared from the group without letting anyone know where he had gone. He went on that no one had known if he were alive or dead and how dare he do such a thing. The tone of the letter was as if Mark had been connected at the hip to these people and his departure had left a gaping, bleeding hole that wouldnt heal. He told me that the only thing I needed to tell Mark is that he was being removed from their community.
This got me so angry that I answered the letter without first asking Mark's approval but I just couldnt hold back. To write to me with concern for Mark's welfare and then once he finds out that Mark is well, to become incensed by that news and use me to send some nasty message. And all over some community that he hasnt posted to in OVER A YEAR!
WTF is wrong with people? Well, I will tell you with this one because Mark explained. The man is a preacher with a wife and kids who do not know he is gay. He lies to the world, as if God cannot see what he writes online. He tries to make it noble in that he will not break his vows to his wife but he lies to her every day, lies to her to go off and meet the friends he connects with online. Hiding duplicity makes it no less deceitful. Faithfulness goes far deeper than not having sex.
I can see how Mark's stomach would have soured to this man and his group of friends, who are quick to judge others actions yet hide their own sins behind locked posts. I can see how Mark would have just turned away from them instead of starting drama. The fact that the man still holds anger and resentment to Mark over a year later shows serious issues. Mark was smart enough to see those issues and run when he had the chance.
Anyway, now that I am done with ranting, haha!, I hope everyone else is having a wonderful Sunday.
