Oh Hey, Summer's Almost Over
First off, the results of ACP's Touhou Project cosplay contest, sponsored by i360.com (which is to say, my comrades-in-arms and I), were announced yesterday. Congrats to Gwiffen and Angathol who took top honors for Flandre and Marisa, respectively. I managed to get the prizes out the door yesterday, so they should be at your doors soon. Also, a massive thanks to to all the entrants who spent lots of time and money to provide all of us with a lot of wonderful costumes to admire, and to waynekaa and genjitsu of ACP for graciously hosting the contest.
The last weekend of the summer crazy season is upon us. In about 12 hours, I'll be off on a 767 on my way to the mystical land of Coca-Cola and CNN, to go join a bunch of crazies in the biggest geek party of the year. And in the meantime, it seems a bunch of you folks are off to different places as well, such as Seattle for PAX, Sacramento for Sac-Anime, Vegas for Anime Vegas, and perhaps even a few off to Kumoricon and AnimeFest.
For those of you off to a convention or travel this weekend, have a safe trip. To those staying back and perhaps enjoying a modest Labor Day weekend, have a good time, and eat lots of BBQ for me, just as I'll make sure to do the same for you folks. And to those of you who are on the East Coast in the path of Earl, please stay safe. :(
