Pins and needles.

Acupuncture this afternoon was a huge success. I felt the effects almost immediately, specifically from the one pin/needle right in the centre of the inflammation. And had almost an hour where my pain level fell from 5/6 down to 2. For the last 3 hours we've been around the 3 mark but now it's slowly creeping back up to 4. Still, 4 hours of significantly reduced pain is a massive improvement. I have another appointment for next Tuesday, and although the thought of the flare up lasting another week to need it is slightly depressing, I at least know it'll work if I need it. I'm about to head to bed shortly to make the most of things. The doc commented I was looking tired, well...without the diazepam I'm not falling a sleep so quickly but I don't want to end up dependent on it, so maybe it's something I can revisit in future if the sleep quality gets really bad again.

ION: Don't get me wrong, I love white collar h/c fics where Neal is sick and needs a little TLC, however, it would be really wonderful to have some variety from flu (where he gets delusional from fever) fics. What would be really great is a nice (is that a word I should use here) plotty fic where he's suffering something much more serious with a longer lasting impact on his life. Yes, I want to write a fic like that. Yes, I have a few ideas about it. Sadly, right now I can barely write non-fiction, so it might have to be put on hold a while.

IOON: It seems I'm not the only one who's seen the potential for Neal within greek mythology. I really need to get my head around the pantheon to make that bunny into a working fic idea. But then, I'll just add it to the really long list of fics I want to write.

The word of the day is: Subluxation.

Night all, hope you're all doing ok.
