...attempting to cut something with scissors while your finger is in the way is not a good idea and will result in lots of owies and blood! *facepalms*
Thanks. It's about a centimetre long & slightly curved though not very deep (it pinched the skin as it cut so didn't go deep). It bled quite enthusiastically, but it doesn't hurt as much as I expected. The thing that got me was that it took so long for my brain to kick in on it, I'd already done the damage before the signal got through that it was wrong *sighs and rolls eyes*. I'll survive, I've had worse. Ironically it's just below where I had a papercut that only just healed. seems that finder is destined to be injured this month.
I do that sometimes when I hurt myself. It takes me a while to notice. I cut my finger really badly when I was cutting bread, I still wince when I think about it. I'm glad it's not too deep that would just suck.
I don't go near bread cutting, I'd probably be lethal lol. I'm normally pretty safe with scissors though, just my finger didn't move when I thought it had lol. Yeah, it'll be fine, just in an awkward spot (side pad of my index finger). At least I can still type, so it could've been worse lol.
Yes, not being able to type would be very bad. I at least have a program on my computer that lets me talk to it and types words (if I can ever find my mic) that helps a lot. I think would go crazy, because you know the moment you can't type or are away from the computer (or pen and paper) is when 'great' story ideas hit.
lol wouldn't really help me at the moment since I have practically no voice, I'm still getting over a Cold of DoomTM, though it hit mostly my throat and chest, so my voice is almost gone. Some might think that's a good thing though *grins*.
My best story ideas usually hit when I'm lying in bed waiting to get to sleep. *rolls eyes*. I really want to write Harry Potter fic at the mo, but my muse is just staring at me blankly and I'm completely bunnyless *rolls eyes*.
I understand. I have a Supernatural prompt I am suppose to be working on. I wrote something and it just doesn't sound right. So I am trying to write something else. I have Doctor who stuck in my head because of the new ep. Yes, in bed or for me when I am on the bus.
Or last fic idea came to me when I was playing Lego rock band.(Which is like more fun than anything! I've been suck on playing it much to the horror of my Boyfriend and room mate.) My baby and I made Jack and Ianto into our characters. And I kept thinking of an A/u story line for Torchwood. So far I've come up with five that might never get written.
lol @ lego rock band. I'm never telling my guys, they'd probably want to buy it *rolls eyes*.
I have one for the lgbtfest to write but it's not due til 10th June, so it's fine that I have no idea at all what I was thinking when I claimed it lol.
It's a fun fun toy. That's why I don't do those any more. I am always scared I will miss the date. Plus my writing been bad of late, I've been posting some on my lj, but mostly keeping it between some friends. Writing is so damn hard, but fun.
My story ideas also come when I'm trying to go to sleep, then I actually go to sleep and forget half to all of my brilliant idea -- which is why it's simply amazing that the Primeval/SGA three sentence thing got written!
I've also been known to get great story ideas while using the loo. :-S
Yeah, that's what happens to me. And I wake up in the morning and find that I remember that I had an idea but not what the idea actually was *rolls eyes*.
Well, I guess we were lucky with the 3-sentence fic-bit ;) maybe because it was only short your brain could hold on to it?
Ah yes, the loo (usually a public one when out and about otherwise it'd be too easy to write the ideas down lol) and in the shower :) when will someone invent waterproof paper and pen? lol.
Yep.. sharp things and I have a history of not agreeing. I hope its not to bad love.
