Virus, Viri - Latin; Poison. Masc. 2nd Decl.

May 01, 2004 21:44

I have a nasty virus on my computer (hense the latin thing up there. Virus = poison.) [Random] Vir is man in latin, and many people confuse it with Virus for poison, because most masculine second declension nouns end in -us, so hense, man is poison. -.-
So, I've been working to get this damned thing fixed, and everytime it says it's fixed, it suddenly comes up again from nowehere when I restart the computer. It scares me, I don't want this thing to break. What's even worse, is it transfered itself onto the other computer now too. So both comps are in jeopardy. It's a nasty one too, for like 2 hours I couldn't turn my computer on. I hope it fixes soon. I'm using this huge array of Scanning programs. Hopefully, one of them can do the trick.

So, this morning I went to school, even though it's Saturday, and dragged my ass into Chem regents review. I realize now, just how futile my attempts to re-learn Chemistry are. I think, I might re-program my science course for next year from Physics to Earth Science, in order to not run into the same problem again. *le sigh* I hate my school.

Grandparent's dropped by for a bit. We did random things, going to eat, Kmart, and things of the sort. Has been a pretty weird day. In between freaking out over my computer I've been trying to get some of my math paper done, which is due Monday. It's on Fibonacci Numbers and Phi and the relation of Phi to every day life. All inspiration came from the much loved book "The Da Vince Code". It's a hard topic to work with, but at least I'm interested in it, ne? I'm trying not to plagurize this one too. I'm being brave =\

Also, I think I'm gonna apply for a job soon at the library. Finally convinced the parents I can manage to find a way there and back. We'll see what comes of this. But damn, I'll have to get my working papers. Am scared of the physical. *le sigh*
