i am coughing sometimes but they just treated me exactly like tina at the doctor...gave me a strep test, that was negative, gave me a mono test, that was negative, so they treated me for strep anyway lol. xD; she had strep like a week or so ago. mine looks worse than hers tho imho.
...how about Tonsillitis? XD; Yea, the last time I went in, they did a strep test, came back negative...then they did a full throat culture....nothing. They then determined it must be something viral. Gave me huge horse-pills of some strong-ass antibiotic (blegh!)....and like 10 days later I was cured! 8D
Hope you're feeling better though...? I know an awesome tea for sore throat/coughing....oh, and get you some Vick Vapor rub (or store brand), slather it on your feet at night and put on socks....helps the coughs. 8D;;
Nah, there's really nothing they can do for viral, it has to work it's way outta your body. They give you antibiotics to boost your immune system.
Ok the tea is simple, but it's important to buy real lemons and ginger. You're going to want to peel the top skin of the ginger and discard and then finely cut off slivers of the ginger, put them and water in a coffee mug, blast it in the microwave (a min should do). Roll the lemon so it releases more of the juice, cut in half, juice it carefully into mug (with water and ginger) so you don't get any seeds. Then put some kinda lid on top so it'll steep. After a min, put honey in to taste and strain the ginger out. Sip it slowly; make this tea as often as you can. Ginger and honey are a natural antiseptic and the lemon has a TON of vitamin C in it.
So glad I don't have my tonsils anymore. XD
