INTRODUCING...
LOKI GIZMO FUZZYPUP ( or fuzzypup gizmo loki according to benji)
(yea, we still don't really know about a name.. heh) He ended up being much redder than we expected.. the girl was the darker sesame seed like the picture I posted before, I think he'll just be a regular red.
Got him yesterday! He's quite the sleepy pup yesterday, but that's understandable.. he had a rough day. I think he's very smart (and i'm not just being TOO Partial about it). He was nervous in the car right away, but eventually settled down.. he knew we were leaving. And as soon as the car pulled into the driveway he knew it was time to get out. Car hadn't even turned off (and we had stopped at stoplights on the way here, so it wasn't just that the car was slowing or stopping.. ) Rubbed him all over with that UBER catnip.. but the cat's were still like WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!?!?
Vlad seemed the most on edge, but tiber's the only one who's taken a couple swipes at him. i think its cause he has his cone on his head again scratching his ears till they scabbed, and that limits his vision some. So far the cats just hang in the stairs and watch him. Had to teach him how to use the stairs. (he is a whiny butt, but that's to be expected till he settles in). I think he's going to need alot of "exposures." We went out side, which he loved (as long as it wasn't raining), but he startled at every new sound, sat and looked around till he figured out what it was.... looked at some more, figured it was okay and then went on with his buisness..
So far no accidents in the house, but i've been taking him out often... he definately prefers to do his buisness in the grass..., i was hoping i could get him to use the little empty dirt/flower patches along the house... but so far no go there...
Vlad's reminding me of those siamese cats in Lady and the tramp.. he's figured out that the puppy gets the GOOD food so he's always just around the corner waiting for the puppy to give up. Puppy hasn't really learned to chew (the lady said he was still trying to nurse and was feeding him canned food). I plan to get him on a raw diet that he chews himself, but not ground food like i do for the cats. Actually if Its successful, then Vlad and him will pretty much be on the same diet, with tiber being Mr. Fancyfussy pants must have it ground. Puppy tries to chew the hearts and on the wings, but he seems prefers the texture of the ground rabbit, probably cause its closest to the canned food. So I'm going to have to back up a few more steps with him. I think he has food allergies as he's CONSTANTLY itching, but he has no flees. (he's been to the vet recently with his littermates, and is due to go again soon). I'm thinking its the Corn or barely that's in the canned dog food, but only time will tell... I don't think it nerves cause if you scratch just about anywhere on him he instantly goes in to the OMG THATS THE SPOT *thump leg* mode.
