Benji-Bee and the In-laws.
We'll.. the in-law stress is kinda over for now.
Although Polo really needs to just have a discussion with his older bro to resolve some past issues. But his brother never wants to talk about things. The brother's wife, Carmen, ..... they just married in less than 2 months.... we had a nice long discussion about the problems in the marriage and how odd polo's family is and how those were really similar to my own problems with polo. She says she tries to use us as an example when arguing with her husband, but that he brushes it off cause his mom and little sister doesn't like me. Excuse me? I know the sister is a little bitch, but what sort of backstabbing is the mother in on now? *GRRRRRRR!* anyways, not going to rant about THAT.... but Carmen basically begged polo to talk to his older brother about adult relationships and how to work through it like we have, but the thing is polo's very passive aggressive and his older brother is hugely stubborn. And Polo can't talk about Relationship problems without lecturing with anger in his voice UNTIL he gets the past issues resolved... but he can't keep His older brother on the phone for longer then 3 minutes at a time and there was never a time just alone with him for him to discuss any of it when we went to visit for a few hours and now they're back in Cali and he hasn't returned any of polo's calls.
BUT we did have some progress! Polo did have a talk (rather then a smart ass remark or "just cut it out ") with his Dad about how he behaves around Benji gives him nightmares and that he has to just flat STOP it. Ever time we had him stop about "ooh the monsters going to get you!" thee next time we went it was "BEES are going to get you!" then we told him to stop that it was "OOOH SPIDERS ARE GOING TO GET YOU!!" THen THIS time while they were going to the park it was "THE CAT ITS GOING TO GET YOU!!!" I wasn't there but i'm hoping that polo finially got it through him that it has to stop. All of it not just about a specific creature. Polo said he thinks he got the point across, but only time will tell.
Its just so hard to deal with such self-absorbed immature people. As soon as you confront them, they either deny that it happened, say they were "just kidding around," or not even act like they heard you, all the while treating you like you're an idiot. Which is the EXACT same problems Carman's having with them. only 10X as worse cause she's ESL. But at least polo listens to my concerns and he tries to make changes. His older brother either just ignores it or turns it around saying she's trying to take his family/"me time" away. *sigh* I really wished they would have come to Seattle that week just the two of them so we could of had a good "adult" talk. But they had to do everything the little sister wanted, and she just wanted to stay home and sleep.
