This weekend sure has been busy! On Saturday, Burien had a small town dog costume parade, hayrides, and a haunted house set up. They also had Trick or Treating going on at the local stores. We didn't relize this, so we went with no costume on for benji, but he still got to trick or treat. He painted a free tiny pumpkin, and did GREAT in the haunted house! He kept saying he was scared of halloween all week long so we wanted to make halloween more fun for him. He had a blast on Saturday and was all puffed up that he made it through the haunted house, where the little girl (the grandchild of polo's coworker that we ran into down there) had the "best reaction" any body saw coming out of the haunted house. Poor thing, but the people putting the event on took tons of pictures of her. I'm sure she'll be on next year's flyers hahaha.
Since we had Benji's Lion suit from last year that he could still use AND a Jedi outfit my mother bought him to play dressup in (its a little big), we figured he'd just use one of those. Nope, friday he says he wants to be a GHOST! So I said how about "ghosty Anakin?" and He agreed. So sat night we went to the party store and found some white paint and hair spray. Couldnt find any light blue which would have been ideal, but also got some glow in teh dark paint. (he kind of looks like the kid in teh grudge with the face paint on). This was our first mock up of him on Sunday. He had a costume birthday party to go to.
While taking these pictures he keeps saying GHOSTIES DON'T LIKE THE LIGHT!!!
(teehee, he reminds Polo and I of Chiana from Farscape.. So we've been calling him the Nebari Jedi when he's not listening)
Going to try to Spray more of the white on the underside of his hair tonight to try to get more complete coverage.
Too bad I dont have any white eye make up.. i doubt he'd let me put it on anyways.
We went to the local grocery store to pick up a few things and some young kids go "You're a wierdo!" While all the adults were goign "OH HOW CUTE!" We told the kids he's not a wierdo he's a Jedi! and he whips out his light saber.. I think the kids finially got it at that point.
Dont know if we'll have a chance to see the glow in the dark paint light up. Tongiht we're goign to the SouthCenter Mall for our treating.
Oh I found this hat and I love it! he looks like a poor orphan boy... but its so cute! Mom sent it to the local Kid agency and wants us to set up an appointment with them. My lil bro was with them and was in the Zebco fishing Comcercial 10 years ago...
