Last night was a milestone in my life. For the fourth summer in a row, I began to read the 4th Harry Potter book, but this time, I actually finished it. Now I get to start the 5th one, which is even longer. I'll let you know what I think of it in 2009 when I'm done.
So now that I'm home and my life is more on a schedule, things are pretty mellow. Wake up early, go to work, come home, too tired to do anything, watch tv, fall asleep, repeat cycle. Being home is great, except for the fact that mowing the lawn has reappeared on my list of chores. Blast! The other day I had to go back to the apartment to grab our cable box and modem to return to Comcast and it was kinda weird being there. I had to literally stop and try to remember what life was like when the apartment was "fun". I'll miss MarioKart dearly. Someday when I'm not broke, I'll buy my own GameCube so my life can resume happily as it once did.
Speaking of being broke, I shouldn't be that way for too much longer. No more rent to pay. The only other thing on my list other than normal monthly credit card bills that I have to pay off is my parking ticket from May when I was towed. I'm also trying to jew my way to a cheaper parking sticker for this schoolyear by claiming I'm a unionized University employee, which RA's technically are. We'll see how that goes.
I'm really excited for the new semester to start. Namely, I'm excited to move into my dorm and decorate it. It's been so long, 2 years, since I've been able to do this. Then comes dreaded RA training, then dreaded classes...so mainly, I'm excited to move into the dorms. That's all.
I'm becoming a reality tv whore now that I'm so tired after work and all I do is watch tv. Strip Search, Surreal Life, Real World, Dr.90210, Rock Star: INXS, Hell's Kitchen...I'm addicted. And pretty soon the new Real World / Road Rules challenge starts, The Gauntlet II: Rookies vs. Legends. I'm excited. I'm a lazy whore.
Today I took the morning off from work because I knew the weather would be nice and every other day I've had off has been crummy, so I'm gonna go lay outside now. Can you use tanning lotion from fake tanning out in the real sun? I don't see why not...
