The morning after

Mar 20, 2005 11:55

I woke up this morning and went to have a shower. As I left my room, I saw Ratty and Cole spooning on a mattress on the floor outside Glen's room. Ratty and Cole are both frosh, Ratty's about the size of Conor and Cole is smaller than me. I laughed my way to the bathroom and told them they needed a woman (who doesnt really?). Ratty drowsily replied, "I need more men!" The bathroom was in its usual state of after-party disarray with paper towel flung everywhere. As I took my shower i heard a guy (possibly Cole again) ralphing for all he was worth. Seriously it sounded like he was trying to dislodge a medicine ball. Anyhoo after that I walked down the hall to go for breakfast and i looked in the 2nd floor lounge (last night a guy was djing in there and there were free drinks being served for people dressed in spring break clothes). It looked like the dirty side of a landfill. I think there was pee on the floor down the hall a bit so i went downstairs and out the door and into the caf. Anyway, I had Belgian waffles with Cherries and whipped cream, some sausage, and home fries. I knew there was a reason i woke up this morning. Other than that the wing is pretty dead. Everyone but me got fucked out of their skulls last night. And, being the night of wing wars, there was hostility. Nate apparently trashed his and Sayer's room, which is no surprise. During one house party in first semester I was chilling with some frosh (they had been playing weezer on their guitars when I walked by, slightly intoxicated), and at one point Nate walks in the room and says hi. Then he looks at the top of the guys' dresser where they had stored empty liquor bottles and with one swipe of his gangly arm throws them all on the floor to shatter. Then he giggled and ran away. Back to the present. There was some rumor (that later turned out to be false) that Colin, who is house president next year, was badmouthing our wing, in which he, himself, lives. Now, this is a big deal because our wing is pretty tight no matter who likes or dislikes who, so I guess there was animosity over that. Whatever. Today's pretty sunshiney and the sky is sapphire blue, the wind is mild. Average freddytown weather. I miss Nova Scotia's seemingly perpetual grey sky :P The gaudy shamelessness of New Brunswick's outdoors gets tired quick. Woah long ass update. Heh ill stop for now before i give you guys an aneurism
