TODAY'S JANE AUSTEN'S BIRTHDAY Her 239th birthday-anniversary! I may have seen one of her novels adapted into a movie but I've never read any of her books. I think she's what they call "Chick-Lit." (Remember Chiclets? Those hard-coated gum squares in a box?)
No, I'm no fan of Jane Austen. I don't have anything against her, either. I'm sure I drew this picture in response to a comment or a post by someone who I am a big fan of-and that would be my friend and poem-editor, Kelly Ramsdell.
So, Happy Birthday, Jane, and happy day to you, Kelly!
