This portrait has an interesting story. The first part being it's one of those rare "batik pieces" I did a couple of years ago. As much as I've tried, I've yet to make the arrangements to make "batik happen again". But the most interesting part of this piece's story is how the "words came to be". Yes, we all know those are the words of his most famous speech. But how I happened to "pencil them in" to this portrait is one about reader involvement and input from here on Live-Journal!
