Now, only "WINTER"
has not won an award.
Last night at the opening, "Emily: Fall" was won "The Best in Show" award for "Drawing or Mixed Media" (she's both) by the jury committee of the Goodlander Gallery. "Emily: Spring" and "Emily: Summer" won Honorable Mention -- Mixed Media last fall at The Great River Show.
It was the first time all of my "Emily for Every Season" series was hung together. But as Laura (laurajacquesart) pointed out, they weren't really "hung together". The were in groups of two--Spring/Summer Fall/Winter--on end walls of cubicle-style hanging walls. I would like to see them all on one wall. (Maybe the Spring Show at The Discovery Center in Turners Falls).
And maybe then, WINTER will win her prize!
