So, I had this incredible dream last night, with one of my life long reoccuring themes:
Tornados.
Since a small child, I have been terrified of the possibility of tornados. They have hit my dreamscape several times, usually at least twice a year. But here's the cool thing.
In my dream last night, I was walking outside, with my dog, along a gravel path in farm country. It looked like any farm land in the mideast US. But all around me, surrounding me on the horizon, were tonadoes, just ripping apart the land scape. I was watching them touch down, swirl around, and I was all "Wow, pretty." Completely calm. I was going to be fine.
Hell, I was even taking pictures!
Then, as I kept walking, one started to touch down in front of me. And I kept walking towards it. I was watching it weave in between these four houses, and as I approached, I figured I should probably go into one of those houses. So I made my way leasurely in to the house, (Zan and I had to fight the wind from sucking us outside for a couple of seconds) where there was a couple was screaming and freaking out. I asked them if it was okay for me to come in so I didn't get blown away, and they looked at me and screamed at me to close the door. I almost asked them "What good that would do?" but I figured that they weren't in the mind set to hear it, so I pulled the door shut.
Zan jumped into a vase somewhere, and I felt the house rattling and saw the tornado a few feet from the house. I figured now was my time to find a corner to chill out in, so I curled up in a ball, held on to something, and thought "It'll be over in a few seconds, and I'll be fine."
Sure enough, a few seconds later, the wind outside stopped, I stood up, Zan jumped out of her hiding place, and while the couple was still freaking out, I waved good bye and me and my pup walked out the door.
And that was the end of the dream.
Crazy, huh?
