[She nearly writes 'dear' down, as above--but, ah...]

Well they're not that bad, but I can't blame you. [He's not going to offer, though. He doesn't know her for one... and for two, he's already in a full apartment.]

Oh, but don't you find that when you become accustomed to a large, inviting home -- it becomes entirely impossible to go back to anything else. At least I can imagine that one of the houses here is Green Gables.

Yeah, well, you learn to get used to it. I mean, the apartments are no mansion and the rooms are a lot smaller, but that's not that important. [And it's a lot better than those months they spent living underground while the mansion was rebuilt.]

Oh, well--a small room would be perfectly acceptable. I don't have much in the way of material goods, anyhow. Here or home.

You should be careful. Some people may decide to take advantage of your offer there, you know.

[There is a great pause before she responds. The naive and idealistic Anne did not think of this possibility. Someone please stop the free labour trainwreck above.]

You think so? [Tap, tap, tap.] Then I will just have to make my decision a very sure and thorough one.

Good idea. You so do not want people thinking of you as a new live-in maid, yeah?

[But, Kurt! That's what mouthy orphan girls are for!]

Oh, I don't mind the housework.

[He was a blue demon orphan and his adoptive parents only made him do the normal amount of chores.]

Even if you don't, you shouldn't have to do all of it! That's one bad deal, you know?

[Both the Thomases and the Hammonds used Anne as a glorified nanny. And when an extra mouth became too expensive? lol turn of the century orphanage.]

Yeah but- [Okay, switching to voice.]

[Surprised!]

Oh? Pardon? Hello? I wasn't going to decide until after the viewing, actually.

[What's all this hello business about?]

Well, good. Because... you really, really don't want to hook up with Jack Sparrow.

I don't? [...Oh.] But he sounded like quite the potential kindred spirit. Of course, I suppose that not everything is as it looks. For example, you would think that from the look of them that turnips would be the most succulent, delicious food one could eat. Sadly this is far from the truth.
