Magnetic Attraction...no more updates?
Ah no, there might not be any MA updates for a while. For Frizzy have just posted an Author's Note with the implication that she might not finish the fic.
Judging from her A/N, she was frustrated at the number of people who copied her idea of an DM/HP fic with the Veela idea. Well, it's not that she said that others can't use the Veela idea; she's just annoyed at the number of people who copies off her fic. Like the plot would be strangely identical to hers, and that's what's she pissed off about.
Now, I may not have read a whole lot of fanfics lately, what with all the homework I have to complete, but I know what Frizzy's pissed off about. I have read some Veela fic on ff.net which I think is almost a complete duplicate of Magnetic Attraction. I mean, dude, go and think up your OWN original idea for a Veela fic; don't just around stealing Frizzy's idea. Sheesh, it's HER idea, not yours.
And while I know that some people do put up disclaimer notices acknowledging the fact that the whole Veela inheritance thing belongs to Frizzy, but then I still think that's sort of copying her idea. After all, she was the one who came with the whole inheritance thing at the age of 16.
I don't really know why I'm ranting and raving about this on here. Frizzy have already put up a rather harsh and blunt A/N saying pretty everything I've just said; I guess it's because I'm kinda pissed at those people who copy off her. And of course, the whole idea of no more weekly updates from her. I do like that fic you know. Of course it's not as good as Irresistible Poison or After the End but I do like it just the same.
And what's the deal with her getting pulled off ff.net? Really now, pulling her off ONCE was enough, but TWICE? What the fuck? Seriously. What the fuck is wrong with all those stupid people on ff.net? I never really did like ff.net in the first place, and now I hate it. I really do. There are a TON of fics which have worse things than MA and I don't see them get pull. I'm still pissed at their decision to pull off MA you see.
Really I'm pissed. Now Sundays are just as boring as it was before MA came along. Pissed.
