James Lester, didn't fidget, he didn't pace, he was calm in the face of adversity.
Except now when it was taking all his control not to move around restlessly, to chew on his bottom lip or ask for updates repeatedly.
The team had taken the young future predators as bait. They all knew the risks, that didn't mean Lester was willing to lose anyone.
Especially not Captain Tom Ryan.
Lester didn't have many friends, he didn't want to lose the ones he had, or might have. And Ryan was becoming someone who mattered. Even if they were only ever friends.
