Yesterday, my Dad, in_the_bottle and I went to see Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination at Scienceworks.

Fabulous exhibition, very crowded though. Dad said he'd be interested in spending more time at the museum so I might end up going back midweek before it's finished and take my time and read everything etc while he's looking at the rest of the museum.

The models were incredible and the costumes were great. A couple of people (we think from the local star wars fan club) were there dressed up and the kids were having a great time having their photo taken with them.

in_the_bottle and I had our photo taken with R2-D2 among other things *g*

Lots of awww moments with the very junior fans, obviously a lot of original fans had been getting their kids into SW and brought them along one example I laughingly said made my geeky heart flutter. A little girl of maybe 4 or 5 sitting on her dad's shoulders and he asked who was in the cabinet, with no hesitation she cried out R2-D2 and C3-P0!

I'll post some photos once I've got them organised.

social butterfly, happy geek
