(no subject)
My Dad decided to upgrade his camera but has given me free reign to play with it. Yay!
We'd been talking about upgrading my camera, but instead he decided to, which is nice as it gives me the extra time to save up and figure out if I really want a digital SLR or not (and for the overpriced but I want it Panasonic G1 with the interchangeable lenses to come down in price)
He got a Panasonic FZ28 10.1 megapixel, takes HD movies, 18x zoom and most importantly for me will take photos in RAW format ( which after being a member of a photography society for over a year now was becoming increasingly important to have for the extra detail and flexibility in enlargements etc)
I played with it a bit as we have a portrait workshop the other night but I'd really love to be well enough to go out for the day and play with it.
in_the_bottle we should organise a photography day out again sometime and actually get down to docklands *L*
I'm also contemplating a bit of a photo share, I know there have been various memes etc I'm thinking of a 'anyone who wants a random/particular subject photo from me I'll post you one with a note to say where and why I took it' Something like that but I'll wait till I'm better to do anything with it.

Speaking of photos - does anyone use Picasa or know of a good 'how to' resourse for it? It's not for me but someone we know who needs some help with it.
