It seems there's been a lot of discussion lately about women in bandom, or the lack thereof. Always a girl! fic has become popular, which if it's your thing, fine- I can't really judge when I like some much more ridiculous things O.O

Hm. I really love genderswap fic, and sexswap, and I much prefer them to the actual girls in bandom, and I have no idea why, really. I just really prefer the boys.

Maybe because I'm not big on the bands that have the girls? Like, I just don't like reading about those bands in fic, but I like the music.

It's also like, some bandom peeps characterisations/histories really interest me and I like reading about them, but not other people. So I just have no interest in them.

I also get squicky about reading about rl couples, so I don't like gf fic.

Yeah, um, I dunno. ;)

And it's not that I don't like the girls, because it do! They're awesome, I just don't want them in my fic. ;D

It's Always-a-girl fic I don't really care for. Spencer Smith (for example) born as a girl - is not Spencer Smith anymore- She's an original character- end of story. Which is fine, as I said - if that's your thing,

I'd just like to see some of the 'real' girls get their due - or hey! write them turning into boys! LOL
