where did the time go?
This journal is a year old today \o/
I lurked around in bandom for a year before that, but today marks a year that I've been active in the fandom. Whee!
It all began when a friend of mine emailed me THIS picture because of our shared love of William Beckett.
Which of course led me to my very first bandslash fic Simple Rivalries by megyal (Yes, guys, it's all Marie's fault- she hooked me!)
At first I was just reading Treckett, but these other characters kept popping up- this Ryan and Brendon and hello! what? they were from this band with the intriguing lyrics I liked -and (Google) damn if they weren't incredibly tasty looking- and even more in love than Will and Travie! SO then I found satd- and danimpa and arsenicjade and ryrolovesbden (who was my first bandom friend!) The rest as they say, is history!
For the record, since we're talking firsts. I posted this in Hope's lj- but for those of you who don't know THIS is the exact moment I lost my heart to Ryan Ross. I liked him before- but when I saw him strut down that stage with Brendon- I swear my heart exploded. (and then when he gave an interview and showed the blonde and totally clueless interviewer that he was reading Henry Miller? my fate was sealed FOREVER. I will never not love Ryan Ross!)
