After all my stressing to find someone to go to KC with, it turns out all I had to do was call my friend Kim and she was good to go. Kim is 6 months pregnant, but hell, I was in the pit for Rob Zombie when I was pregnant, she can handle Panic at The Disco, y/y? Only no. Turns out Panic fans are aLOT more insane than Rob Zombie's but, more on that in pt 2.
It started out really great. The weather was beautiful, the drive uneventful, found a parking spot in five minutes, went to will call and got our tickets, found some other girls from ND and got in line. It wasn't too terribly hot out and the girls with us in line were nice and funny and Zack came out and schmoozed with us pretty much the whole time. He went along checking off names and taking pics with whoever asked.I know it's been said over and over again but it bears repeating, Zack Hall =LOVE. That guy is the best. There were a couple of girls in the line ahead of us who weren't on the list even though they thought they should be and it turned out they didn't actually get M&G but he let them in anyway because "he wasn't going to turn away the fans" ♥
Another random Zack moment: there were twins in the group behind us in line and their friends called Zack over to get a "picture with the twins" and he came over and posed and joked and then he was like- wait-you really are twins! That's hot. LMAO @ Zack the perv!
So sometime around 5 they let us in, and Zack lined us up and gave us the SPEECH, you know the "No touching, no licking, no trying to rape the boys or sneak something past me or I will reign terror down upon your insignificant ass" speech. (It was much more charming coming from Zack however :P) While we were waiting, Shane came down the line filming and said hello, and sadly that's the only time we got to talk to him :(
So M&G time- the line went pretty quick. Too quick really, there was barely time for hi, how's it goin', thank you- next. :( Ryan and Brendon were wearing sunglasses (hmmm hungover much?)which kind of sucked because I might have given up an organ or two to look Ryan in the eye, but then again it might have been all over for me right there so maybe it was for the best.
Jon was so very adorable! I cannot even describe- he signed his picture in the book and then drew a little arrow to himself and said "that's me!". I said"In case I forget!" and he said yeah! with this amazing grin that's really a killer up close you guys. I swear I almost would have braved the wrath of Zack to hug Jon Walker.
Then Spencer. Dan was at the end of the table talking to Spencer while he was signing my book and he said "You know, this is where you met Haley" and Spencer said "Yeah! I know!" and his smile could have melted Antarctica, and my heart might have stopped for a moment. (And how cool is it that he met her here? so, so very cool!)
So then we circled around for our photo-op and Zach, dearest darling boykeeper that he is, is apparently technology challenged- he couldn't work Kim's camera- it took 3 tries and then all we got was this:
exhibit A- hold still Zack! (or rockstars on acid)
and exhibit B (after MUCH color management)
So thanks Zack! :P (but we love ya anyway!)
Here is where we saw the woman that
foxxcub posted about
HERE. and really *facepalm* is all I can say!
SO we went and snagged a shirt and then parked at the barrier (on Ryan's side of course!).
Too save my sanity and my friends f-list- I'm gonna put the show itself in another post. Coming soon to a screen near you ;)
