Rant
You might want to skip this one idk. It's kinda stupid but I feel a need to rant :P
Why do the BNF's of early bandom always have to come on and post about how this fandom is "dying and/or dead"?? Just because their particular flavor has lost it popularity doesn't make it dead.
Granted the fandom has changed, it's shifted and adapted- as a fandom should to keep from getting stagnant. Old fans have moved on, new fans have moved in. Most of us are more fannish and active on Tumblr than livejournal these days, but we're still very fannish and dedicated to our fandom(s).
There's still plenty of fic to be found also. If you can't find any, you're either terribly, terribly picky about what you will read-- or you aren't looking hard enough (like hardly at all :P)
They're aren't nearly as many commenters as there used to be, but that is because everyone reads on their phones and those things are a bitch to type on!
It just seems kind of arrogant to me to come on, especially after being awol for months yourself and declare the entire fandom "dead" just because your little corner of it is quiet.
