Now, I have a slight dilemma...

I have found myself a boy to persue, however I have reached a bit of a roadblock. I've been told that he is too shy to make the first move, but I'm not much better in the persual department. And I'm definitly not taking the advice on of my guy-friends gave me (Grab him by the crotch and say "These are mine now".......I'm really not that friggin bold)
Help?
