Karim Amir, bored with his suburban lifestyle in England, is propelled into the fast lane and introduced to disparate cultures, classes and genders thanks to a disorienting chain of events sparked by his father, a self-proclaimed guru. PW called this "delectable. . . . Resembling a modern-day Tom Jones , this is an astonishing book, full of intelligence and elan."
This is a really interesting book different from what you usually read, and again tied in with postmodernism of course. *chuckles* No not everything I read is, but yeah... It deals a lot with life and growing up and sexual exploration a lot of different things. But it's pretty good also deals a lot with racism and various other issues that are still effecting GB at the moment. (thus why I had to read it for class) But it's still a good book and if you find that sort of thing interesting at all i would suggest it. ;)
