I decided to delve more into the thoughts of Draco Malfoy in my fan fiction “My Wildest Dreamings Could Not Foresee.” So this is more of a compilation piece rather than a story of its own. Yes, it’s a songfic. I thought these two AFI songs fit his situation so well.

I wonder if he really doesn’t see how much of this is his own fault. He never meant for me to turn out like this, but in his attempts to force me in his own direction, he sealed my fate.
Since birth, he has spoon-fed me lies and ridiculous explanations of how blood makes a person. He believes that money and a good family name can make someone successful and better than others, but it takes pure blood to make a person. Pure blood to make a genuine human being.
I grew up learning right and wrong from this man. If anyone actually believed that this man could teach morals to a child, let alone have any morals of his own, they were vastly mistaken. I grew up wanting no more than to be exactly like him. Wanting to make him proud.
“I've arrived so unashamed, but all my senses no longer seem the same. I can sense everything. My sight's so clear...”
But through his own faults he taught me exactly what he intended to blind me from.
“In an instant, my life just slipped away. I fought for life; the whole time you were holding me down. You watched me dying. Holding me down, you brought my rebirth.”
His actions have hurt me more than I care to think about, but through them I am a new person. If he chooses to hate me now for that, which I know he will, then so be it. I will no longer back down to him. He taught me never to back down from what I believe in, and if I am grateful for anything that he taught me, it would be that.
