Sinners update!

Mar 30, 2011 03:50

Forgot to mention it on Livejournal, but in case you're not on the mailing list, yesterday I added a new Sinners oneshot to AFF, Empty HourglassIt's not really new---it was originally written for a swell friend who generously let me make it public for the fourth anniversary of Sinners---but it's new to the rest of you, haha. I removed the most ( Read more... )

Sad end is sad!

Why you going around killing yourself all the time, slash?!

Aurgh! I have so many emotions right now! That was just...argh. You're a giant booty!

THANK YOU MY READERS, HERE IS SOME ANGST

What's funny is that it seems even more inappropriate for a birthday present, haha, but the cut spoilers made it less horrible.

Don't worry, the story won't be over when Sinners reaches this point. I've got so much more horror to share!

And fluff and sex and stuff. That'll come, too. In time. All the more reason to finish the next chapters and continue my work in updating the older ones (I haven't updated any YET, but I'm tinkering with what will be the next first chapter already; I'll announce it when I make the changes to the actual AFF chapter).

tee hee

You seriously gave this to someone for their BIRTHDAY?! I can't imagine how that conversation went down. You're an evil person Slash. Also, how the heck is the story going to continue if one of the MAIN CHARACTERS is DEAD. Well, I have a solution for that that would be a giant ass-pull if there ever was one. "After Slash died, Arceus came down from the heavens and was all like 'No. Lol.' and then slash lived some more!" YEAH!

Well she liked it, heh, but that's probably because she knew things the rest of you guys don't. :-P

It'll continue, no Arceus required. Everything will be made clear in due time.

Although *chuckles* you might be surprised in the nearish future. You're closer than you might realize but the funny thing is how far you're from it, too. *evil laugh*

OH SLASH YOU MYSTERIOUS FUCK STOP FEEDING US HOT-COLD HINTS THAT WILL ONLY END UP WILDLY MISINTERPRETED LATER

Yeah! Time for some random guessing and speculation!

1.Slash is still in a coma from Kiako at the beginning of the story and has been tripping balls the whole time.

2. The evil entity that cursed Slash will be satisfied that he was willing to accept giving up his life up for Psymakio and everyone and cut him a break and let him be resurrected under some mystical condition.

3.The aforementioned Arceus will actually show up and do some sort of PARADOX MAGIC so that Slash be both dead and alive at the same time so that technically he completed the contract with the evil entity.

I'd never do number one---I very rarely like "IT WAS ALL JUST A DREAM" stories, especially those that claim a large time period was just a dream. Imagine if I wrote, say, five chapters (of my typical chapter size, which would likely take a year or more even if I had the time and hurried), only to say "yeah, all of this was just a coma-dream. Slash recovers, finds out that he's just a regular guy with a Kirlia who's had some naughty and adventurous dreams". I don't know if my inbox has room for the amount of death threats I'd get ( ... )

I just had another idea. A GHOST pokemon could just go and get slash's soul back, stick it back in his body and away we go! ....Right? Plus, Ghosts are awesome.

Considering the kind of things I write, that would likely only make things much, much worse. Body starts to decay as soon as death occurs, so unless it was like, instant, he'd probably just die a second time because he has no oxygen in his blood or his organs have consumed themselves or there's maggots in his brain. HAHA.

Ghosts are awesome, but I think that'd be too easy. If I have resurrection in Sinners, it will be insanely difficult and always come with a price equal to or worse than the results.

Plus I'd be more likely to have ghosts EAT souls than just pick them up, lol. But that'd be nightmarish so I probably wouldn't do that. Probably.

...probably.

"Arceus is very much a non-interfering deity in Sinners, largely because it's hard to write a story with believable conflict if the good guys have, ya know, Super-God on their side ( ... )

Arceus is a sort of Deist entity in Sinners---he created the universe but has no active role in its functioning. More importantly, he's not all-powerful, though he seems so to lesser beings. He is a being of order, born at random from the infinite chaos of non-existence; he, like all things of order, will eventually return there. As strong as he is, he doesn't want to die, and taking an active role in a world that is infected by "the embodiment of the inevitability of the universe returning to chaos" could swiftly cause him to do so.

And while he doesn't have an active role in the day-to-day functions of the universe, the death of the creator of the universe has severe repercussions.

And should that being be corrupted...

Yeah.
