Sorry for the slow update and this is a shorter chapter, something came up and messed with my head and gave me writer’s block. Next chapter should be better. J
Title- Killing in the Name of…(Part 2)
Rating: R (for now)
Pairing- Gibbs/DiNozzo, hints of Zoey (OC)/McGee
Warning- This is completely AU- The Boondock Saints was a MAJOR influence on this fic, so it will have a lot of themes/plot from that movie. ALSO the characters are really OOC in the beginning!
A/N- Tony and Zoey (OC) are about 27, Gibbs is mid-to-late 30’s, McGee is about 25, No Ziva in this story, My OC is going to seem uber-religious at first, just bear with me, it’s only to explain something else!
Summary: Tony DiNozzo, an ex-cop, and Zoey Baker, an ex-forensic analyst, think that the law has too many loopholes, and decide to take it into their own hands. Meanwhile, Special Agents Gibbs and McGee are trying to take down a big-time drug dealer. What happens when their paths cross?

“I just don’t get why they call him Snoop Dog, I mean-“ Tony, who made a protesting noise, cut off Zoey. They were in the Jeep, watching a street corner that had an armored truck near it. It had driven up about 15 minutes ago and hadn’t parked yet. Obviously, it was waiting for something.
Zoey rolled her eyes, and then returned her gaze to the truck. “What? It’s a legitimate question!”
“No…it’s not. You’ve been talking about music for an hour now.” Tony said, whining, though still staring at the corner.
“Pshh, You talk about movies for hours on end.” Zoey said.
“That’s different” Tony said, smirking.
“How is that different?” Zoey said, laughing slightly.
“Because, you…don’t have twelve armed body guards surrounding you,” Tony said, his voice monotone and sarcastic.
“What?” Zoey whipped her head around to look at him.
Tony jerked his head in the direction he was looking.
The Pimp and one of his “business associates” were walking under the cover of a dozen large men, with guns.
“Damn, this guy doesn’t mess around” Zoey said, her arm twitched, wanting her gun that was next to her feet.
“Don’t even think about it. It would be like suicide,” Tony said, eyes never leaving the scene in front of him.
The Pimp and his friend had gotten in the truck and it had sped away in less than a minute. The remaining bodyguards quickly dissipated.
“I know that!” She said turning back around in her seat, “It’s just a force of habit!”
Tony laughed at her and leaned back in the drivers seat. Then he sighed.
“We’re never gonna get this guy. I mean we don’t even really know what he looks like.” Tony said. Zoey stared at him for a moment before looking out the window.
“All we really know is that he’s average height, average weight, has brown hair, and brown eyes. That’s it.” He said growing increasingly frustrated.
Zoey didn’t reply. She didn’t even acknowledge that Tony was talking. She just continued looking out of the window, looking up at the sky.
“I mean, we could see this guy on the street and not even know it was him!” Tony said, annoyed.
Zoey turned to him with a big smile on her face. Tony shot her a confused look.
“What is wrong with you? I just tell you it’s almost hopeless trying to get this guy and you’re smiling like you just won a million bucks” Tony said, slightly annoyed.
Zoey completely ignored him.
“Do you know what that is?” She asked, pointing at a lamppost.
“A streetlight?” Tony said, fearing his friend was losing her mind.
“No, well yes, but that’s not the point! See that little black dot right there? It’s a-“
“Security camera” Tony finished for her. They smiled at each other. Tony turned the key in the ignition.
“So, can you hack it and get a picture?” He asked while putting the car in drive.
Zoey put her hand on her chest in mock hurt, “Tony, you wound me.”
Tony rolled his eyes and sped away.

“Petty Officer Meyers had rumored connections to Vincent Dellarosso, suspected of being involved in a major drug smuggling scheme and the leader of a prostitution ring.” McGee informed his boss, who was silently sipping his coffee. “Ducky confirmed that Meyers’ death was a result of massive blood loss from a gun shot wound to the chest. He already sent the bullet to Abby for analysis.”
“What did Meyers do to piss this Dellarosso guy off enough to kill him?”
“It could have been an accident Boss” McGee said without thinking, “You know? Punishment gone wrong?”
Gibbs shot him a look.
“Right Boss, one well-aimed gunshot was all it took, the wounds revealed that his assailant was close to him when he killed him, and the alley he was found in, unfortunately, had no cameras. I know…you don’t believe in coincidences.” McGee backtracked.
Gibbs gave a slight nod and dropped his empty coffee cup in the garbage can while walking towards the elevator.
“Get me a background on the Dellarosso guy” Gibbs shouted across the bullpen.
McGee winced slightly at the ding of the elevator. He sighed; this was going to be a long case. He saw the determination in Gibbs’ eyes already. He went to his computer and started typing away.

Zoey’s hands flew across her keyboard, headphones in her ears, her head bobbing slightly to the music.
“Do not miss your chance to blow, this opportunity comes once in a lifetime, oh! Lose yourself in the music-” She whispered along.
Tony was pacing, impatient.
“Are you almost done?” He asked.
She didn’t hear him, too absorbed in what she was doing.
“Zoe?” Toy asked, a little louder.
Zoey still didn’t respond.
“Zoe!!” Tony shouted.
She looked up with an annoyed expression and tugged her headphones off.
“What?” She said, pausing in her typing.
“Are you done yet?”
Zoey sighed and proceeded to talk to Tony as if he was a small child.
“Tony, I’m trying to hack into a government security system without knowing any part of the access codes. It will take me longer than five minutes, I still have to…ooh!”
“What?” Tony asked, coming to the side of the ratty, old couch.
“I got in,” She said with a self-satisfied grin, “and I beat my old record!”
They high-fived before Zoey found and brought up the right time frame.
“Now all I have to do is blow it up with out distorting the features too much,” She murmured to herself, “and voila!” She turned the laptop so Tony could see.
Tony kissed her on the cheek. “You’re amazing Zoe”
She smiled sweetly. “I know.”
She got up off the couch and walked the short distance to the kitchen area of the warehouse loft they lived in. She went to where a small radio was and turned it on, searching for a radio station.
“If only we had a name, to go with the face” Tony sighed to himself. Although they had pretty good sources on the streets, no one was willing to give up The Pimp’s name.
“Actually that might not be completely impossible.” Zoey said from the kitchen, still trying to find a rock station that suited her mood.
Tony glanced at her. Even after knowing her for eight years, he still had no idea how she did that. Her former CIA training, he guessed.
“What do you mean?” Tony asked.
“Well he was on trial twice, just this year. There’s bound to be his name somewhere in the papers.”
“Nope, it was a private, heavily-guarded, sealed case and they used his alias to talk to the media.” Tony responded.
“Well what if I hacked-“
“We tried. It fried your computer remember?”
Zoey bit her lip, trying to think of another way.
“We could always run his photo against the FBI and CIA’s databases”
“So do that”
“I can’t. If my laptop fried when I was just trying to access sealed government papers, how the hell would it hold up if I tried accessing the entire database?“
“Then why’d you suggest it?”
“I can’t. But I know someone who can. We both do.”
Tony racked his brain before refusing.
“No”
“C’mon Tony! It’s our only option!”
“I don’t care. I’m not going”
“I thought you were friends with her too?” Zoey asked, hands on her hips.
“I am. That’s not the problem. The problem is who she works for.” Tony said, crossing his arms.
Zoey rolled her eyes. “Pshh, Please, You can suffer for an hour in a government building, if it means we can catch this guy”
Tony was silent, apparently having an internal battle. Finally, he sighed.
“Fine, but only for an hour!” he said, standing from his position on the couch.
“Fine,” She responded. Then she smiled.
“We haven’t seen Abby in forever!”
