thank you, thank you very much, and indeed! i'm going to post this out in my main page but here's a transcript of something he says about 2/3 in:
henry at about 57 mins in- listen [transcribed by me]
after The Ethiopians / Wreck It Up [sunday sept 30 2007]
so i found this really cool candle in the studio and uh it's got santa barbara on it and a prayer to santa barbara or saint barbara prayer which i thought was good cos catholicism kinda influenced punk albeit mainly in a rebellious kinda way and screwing people up kinda way anyway let's read it:
Magnificent and eternal god we admire your saints especially the glorious virgin and the martyred St Barbara. We give thanks for those who are worthy of your intercession and were freed from evil helping them in their hour of need and not permitting them to die without receiving the holy sacraments and granting them and assuring them that their petitions have been heard. I beg everything of you dear st. barbara: give me strength to resist temptations and to know my faults and so to be worthy of that sacred and holy virgin and especially in my hour of death fortified with the holy sacraments and by them .
Intercession of st barbara: happy in your company with you and your glory where you live and reign in heaven, amen.
right intentions and thoughts i guess um so what you want to pray for so that;s pretty cool and it's a pretty big candle a lot of prayer right there.
if any of you thought that was stupid or weird or anything and you've been enjoying the music you're kind of a hypocrite because uh pretty much all the music we've been listening to is um, religious in nature, specifically a kind of a branch of Christianity so it's kinda similar so um, yeah. anyways uh so like if someone's rastafari people kinda tend not to care but yanno if they're some other catholic kind of thing ooh that's bad punks don't like that. can't be your catholic self if you're a punk have to do what everyone else does. wait that doesn't make sense.
