The slave girl gyrated. Her red silk suited her well, for she was a slave. All women long to be slaves. So, once, had she. Now she longed no more.
"Her hip-drop needs work," said Kark.
"Indeed, her hip-drop is shaky." replied Tarl Cabot.
The slave girl did a knee-drop into a backbend.
"I find this tedious," said Kark.
"I, too, am unmoved," replied Tarl, mightiest of Gorean warriors.
The slave girl walked a half-mark up and down her naked belly.
Tarl Cabot considered the guild of the Fluffers. Little-spoken-of was this guild; unlike the Stonecutters and the Streetcleaners and the Dunnikin-divers, the tasks of the Fluffers were too shameful to contemplate.
Yet they, too, served to make Gorean society what it was. Even the humblest of services were sometimes necessary.
"Perhaps we should retire to play kaissa," said Kark.
"Did that last night." replied Tarl, son of Michael.
"Hold!" cried the Tatrix.
The slave-girl pouted and dropped her ping-pong ball.
"I, too, shall have a slave dance!" said the Tatrix. "Bring forth my slave!" Forthwith came a man in red silk. His chest gleamed with oil; his thews gleamed with oil.
"This is unseemly," said Kark.
"Truly, this is unseemly indeed," said Tarl Cabot.
The slave-man's buttocks gleamed with oil.
"This is against the natural order," said Kark.
"And yet I find myself strangely moved," said Tarl Cabot.
"No doubt your noble breast pants with horror at this upending of the natural order."
"No doubt."
There was a long silence. The slave-man paused. "Mistress, my loincloth is stuck on my Prince Albert."
"This is horrible." said Kark.
"Horrible indeed."
"I must assist this man with his degradation."
Tarl swallowed. "Truly you are noble."
Kark rose and went to the slave-man. "Permit me to free your loincloth from its entanglement." He bent and spoke softly in the slave's ear, no doubt inciting him to rebellion.
"Not again!" said the slave-man. "The last time I couldn't walk for a week!"
Kark returned, downcast. "He has no desire to leave his unmanly situation," he told Tarl.
"Go ahead and pull the other one."
