Welcome to Iceland
So here I am, got here at 7:20 this morning. It was as dark as midnight, and 41 degrees and raining. So far this morning, I managed to get my room, discover that I have no pillow, will have a roommate, pop the circuit breaker for the wall-outlets, then leave my keycard in my room when I go out into the hall to find the breaker box.
Yes, thank God I had put shoes and a shirt on. I thought about just walking out in socks and sweatpants (what I was currently wearing) to investigate, but that would not have been good walking from my dorm down to billeting, PAST the chow hall, IN the cold, with no shirt, no shoes... no service? Who knows.. ;)
So now I'm in my sponsor's room, while my fridge thaws out... yippee!! Maybe we'll go get some food here in a little bit. I need a car though, bad. B A D. Damn.. should have just brought the Cobra. Oh well, 500 dollar beater, here I come!!
