i love the energy in this. it's as though the characters stand out in color against a paler, greyer background. very, very nice.

and this is just how i see dom and billy when they're together:

"And when he and Dom start working together Billy discovers they bounce off one another like they've been born to do it all their lives."

thank you and happy new year!

Yay! I'm so glad you enjoyed - I was rather proud of this one, this year, it flowed very easily once I started, with that ineffible something that tells you that you're on a roll - so much fun! Thank you.

This makes me so unbelievably happy. Not just for the fulfillment of the bizarre request, but for setting this in the world of stand-up, which is a love of mine that you couldn't have known about.

More feedback later, but just so you know, dear gifter of mine! ♥ Happy new year and thank you!

Oh goodie! I picked it because I was trying really hard to come up with a new AU setting, and I've been writing in British Comedy RPF this year, so it sort of all came together :) I'm so happy you like it!

I don't normally read Billy/Dom, but this is such a wonderful piece of writing - it's original and energetic, and I love a good AU setting! It's extremely well executed. Well done and a happy new year. :)

Thank you! Ah, the various pairings were part of the request, but I'm afraid I'm a Billy/Dom girl at heart, so I'm afraid they were always going to end up together :) But I do appreciate you taking the chance for a pairing that doesn't work for you.

It's fantastic! Billy's voice works really well, very believable and sympathetic. The structure made me surprised -- in the best way -- when Dom calls. And they make such a good team, they truly do, how I wish I could be in the audience!

Wouldn't I like to be there too! I think that would be the most brilliant thing. And I hope the structure didn't put you off, I was trying to give it a little bit of a full circle feel, and also Dom is the only one Billy doesn't initially get together with, so naturally I had to go back and correct that :)

perhaps the right of it is to stay social, not just going it alone, for all the stage is the most lonely a man can be, out there under the lights with only his wits for company

i love this.
it's all grand, but this- perfect.
